This phase is often overlooked in the creative process, but it is critical to the project’s long-term success. At Velocity we properly plan out a project by taking the time to figure out the who, what, where, why and how of the project. Who is going to use the website, the app, or see the ads and tweets? Who is going to be running this day-to-day? What dose the audience expect to see? What does our client need to communicate? Where is the best place to reach the audience, to communicate the message, to buy pizza at 2 AM? These are just some of the questions our team asks when we start a project. The more questions we ask here, the better the results are down the line.

In this phase, our goal is to determine the most effective creative direction in which to take the project. As a team, we go create dozens of wire frames, sketches, drafts, and concepts. We strive to not only capture a design that best reflects our client, but also brings the brand personality to life. Once we have an overall look and feel, we fine tune it into perfection.

Whether we’re creating a new website, a new advertising campaign or a new mobile application, we take creativity seriously. No really, we do. Sure, sometimes it helps our designers to get out and run around for a bit, but in the end each pixel matters. How somethings feels for the end user is serious business. A great looking iPhone app needs to do more than look pretty, and an app with great function needs to look equally great. For our designer and developers, creating beautiful user experiences is job number 1, and they take that job very seriously.

Finally, everything is done and ready to go out but the job is far form over. Getting a website up, an application in the right hands or an advertising campaign running is always “mission critical.” Deployment is one of those tasks that if everything goes right no one even knows it happened, but if something goes wrong... well, at Velocity we have years of experience safely deploying projects for our clients doing the little things like managing server capabilities that make the big things run smoothly.

Few digital projects are truly ever finished. iPhone apps need updates. Websites need tweaks. Online advertising campaigns need new keywords. Social media campaigns need lots of attention. With Velocity, our jobs don't end after the project "goes live." We work with our clients to continue to maintain, operate, analyze and adjust projects and campaigns during their entire life-cycle. We strive to make all of our projects their best on Day 106 and they are on Day 1.
